Trigos nomination for Greiner's Climate Ambassador Program
Stories

The TRIGOS is Austria's most prestigious award for sustainability and CSR - and the Climate Ambassador Programme has been nominated for this very award in the "Employee initiatives" category

Jury statement:

“With the 'Climate Ambassador Program,' Greiner empowers its employees to develop skills in climate protection and become active multipliers. This project fosters exchange between employees across various hierarchy levels and divisions, encouraging them to collaboratively find solutions and learn from each other. Greiner deserves recognition for its employee-oriented initiative in corporate sustainability, with its potential for replication.”

In addition to the Climate Ambassador Program, Purkarthofer Eis with "Wir leben New Work" and Julius Blum with "Wir bei Blum fahren Bus & Rad" are also nominated.

So fingers crossed for the award ceremony in September!

The TRIGOS evaluation criteria are:

  • Attitude, motivation and intention of the commitment
  • Transparency and openness
  • Materiality
  • effectiveness
  • Innovative strength
  • Sustainability
  • Contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Involvement
  • Strategic approach

About the Climate Ambassador Program

The Climate Ambassador Program enables Greiner employees from the three divisional companies Greiner Packaging, NEVEON and Greiner Bio-One to acquire sustainability knowledge and skills. It also creates a cross-divisional exchange within the company. After all, achieving the climate protection goals of the company-wide Blue Plan sustainability strategy requires advocates throughout the organisation. The program is now in its second round and the current cohort will soon be successfully completed.
