Born in 1969, Manfred Stanek is the Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Board. He has been in charge of Greiner AG’s operating agenda since 2023. In addition to his activities at Greiner AG, he is the interim manager for Greiner Bio-One International GmbH and serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Group companies Greiner Packaging International GmbH, NEVEON Holding GmbH and Greiner Bio-One International GmbH.

Manfred Staneks laid the foundation for his international career with a focus on sales, marketing and strategic business development by studying business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and completing the Executive Education Program at the French business school INSEAD. Born in Vienna, he started his career in consulting, where he first worked at the management consultancy CZIPIN until 2001 and then at Proudfoot Consulting until 2008. During this period, his professional activities took him to the USA and Brazil for the first time, where Manfred Stanek also worked in the years that followed. This was followed by a move in 2007 to the conglomerate Votorantim Metais S.A., where he took over the management of the U.S. zinc division in 2009. Finally, from 2012 on, he held various management positions at the U.S. aluminum group Novelis, also in the USA and Brazil, before returning to Austria to take on the role of divisional manager at Greiner Packaging at 2016.
